The cost, and value, of good testing

There are plenty of sites on the web boasting testing costs from as little as 70p per item. Obviously we aren't as cheap as they are. So why should you pay more? What do you get for your money?

Doing the testing well takes attention to detail

We are not the cheapest on the market and we're not ashamed of that; we deliver a proper service and we charge a fair price.

There are no hidden costs

Make sure you know how much you'll be charged for fuse replacement, plug rewiring, new leads etc. Those add-on costs can add up surprisingly fast. We don't hide our charges.

All of our engineers are properly qualified; City & Guilds 2377-22 (which has replaced 2377-12).

Our test equipment is calibrated and we provide copies of the calibration certificates for you, on every job.

Proper reporting

Reporting the test results to the customer is part of the job. Don't accept the stickers on the plugs as proof that an item has been properly tested. PAT testing is not a rubber stamping exercise!

Never forget:

Your PAT testing company is not responsible if an accident happens because of faulty electrical equipment; you are. You need to have complete confidence in your testing company.
